Music Ministry Wish List
Because of the acoustics of our church and given the location of the organ pipes and the music ministry space at the front of church, our 1950s pipe organ will not effectively lead assembly or choir singing, but may be used for postludes and preludes.
To use the organ with the music ministry space adjacent to the sanctuary as we have it, our consultant recommends we replace the former (defective) console with a three-manual digital organ located in this space in the east wing. This console would play the pipes we have in the loft, and the other two manuals would play the digital system with speakers located throughout our church, to effectively lead assembly and choir singing. As we receive the financial contributions to purchase the three manual digital to place in our current music ministry area, we will then be able to incorporate organ into our liturgies to balance the traditional with the contemporary sounds of piano and guitar as well.
