SUMMER ADVENTURE ON THE SERENGETI TREK!
This past Summer, St. Mary Parish and Good Shepherd Catholic Church led children (K4 – Grade 5 ) on a Vacation Bible School Adventure. This year’s focus was the Seregenti Trek . . .where kids are wild about God! It was held on the Good Shepherd campus from June 13 – 17th.
This was the first year that our parishes collaborated on this program and it was a wonderful experience for us all. The week was filled with high energy song, clever crafts, fun games, bible adventure theater, a super video and great food!
One of the highlights of the weeks was the beautiful mural that the fifth grade students painted on the wall of the classroom. It’s a beautiful work of art and the students really enjoyed this project.
Another special moment was the closing liturgy and picnic. Many helped with the planning and the children sang and signed all the songs. The lively liturgy was followed by a delicious picnic. It was a great way to end the week and many of the parents joined us for these events.
